RISE was developed to provide women across medical specialties with an opportunity to grow professionally: gaining access to trainings, insights and opportunities for their future success.
In celebration of Heart Month, the RISE conference will be held in conjunction with the Lancet Commission symposium Heart Disease in Women: Current Evidence, Important Gaps, and Future Goals for Research and Care.
During this one-day symposium, healthcare clinicians will explore strategies to tackle inequities in diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of heart disease in women; to advance innovative solutions for early detection and targeted management; to unravel the underlying biological mechanisms that contribute to sex-specific differences in outcomes, and to finally decrease the global CVD burden in women.
Led by world-renowned experts, this symposium will inform about sex- and gender-based disparities in treatment and diagnosis of CVD in women, with a special focus on the most vulnerable populations, and how to address these in daily clinical practice.
